Bicester North Councillors recycle

1000kgs of waste has been removed from Southwold in north Bicester thanks to a neighbourhood litter blitz carried out by Conservative-controlled Cherwell District Council’s street cleansing team. The week-long cleanliness drive, which took place last week, focused on eliminating litter, removing fly-tipping and cleaning graffiti from open spaces.

Bin crews also stickered residents’ bins to help refresh their knowledge of what waste goes in which bin.

Bicester North District Councillors Nicholas Mawer, Lynn Pratt and Jason Slaymaker said: “Local residents do a great job in recycling household waste, but these litter blitzes go one step further helping to keep our important public spaces clean. Our thanks on behalf of residents to the Council’s team for their great work.”
