Tony has been a District Councillor in Hardwick for the past 8 years. He has a strong track record of delivering for local residents. Amongst other things, he has worked to tackle unauthorised traveller encampments on Hanwell Fields, secured the reinstatement of a regular bus service on the car estate, organised the re-planting and maintenance of trees along the old Oxfordshire Ironstone Railway, supported the renovation of the bungalows on Banesberie Close and got a £40,000 solar system fitted to Hanwell Fields Community Centre. He has also been an ever-present campaigner supporting local efforts to reinstate an obstetric-led maternity service at the Horton Hospital.
In May 2021, Tony was re-elected as the County Councillor for the Hardwick Division. He is the area's 'one-stop-shop Councillor', representing residents on all three tires of Local Government: Oxfordshire County Council, Cherwell District Council and Banbury Town Council.
Tony’s connection to Banbury started 19 years ago when he moved to the area to open a business in the town centre.
