Tony has been a District Councillor in Hardwick for the past 8 years. He has a strong track record of delivering for local residents. Amongst other things, he worked to remove illegal Traveller camps in Hanwell Fields, delivered a new Hardwick bus service, organised the re-planting and maintenance of trees along the old Oxfordshire Ironstone Railway and got a £40,000 solar system fitted to Hanwell Fields Community Centre. He has also been at the forefront of the local campaign to save acute services at the Horton General Hospital. In May 2017 Tony was appointed Cherwell District Council's Lead Member for Financial Management. He is committed to helping the Council deliver the landmark extension to Castle Quay shopping centre which will include, when complete, six canal-side restaurants, a town centre supermarket and new cinema.
Tony's connection to Banbury started 15 years ago when he moved here to open a business in the town. Since then he has been actively involved in the local community; he is a Rotarian and a member of the Banbury Civic Society. In May 2017 he was elected to represent Hardwick on Oxfordshire County Council. He is now the area's 'one-stop shop Councillor', representing residents on all three tires of Local Government: Oxfordshire County Council, Cherwell District Council and Banbury Town Council.
