Eddie was first elected to represent the Banbury Calthorpe Division in May 2017. He loves Banbury and has consistently stood up for our town in County Hall. Like most hardworking people, he believes that politics is about finding solutions to problems, not problems to politicise. Having worked in Local Government, he recognises the challenges public services face.
Over the past 7 years, Eddie has worked hard to deliver tangible improvements locally. He successfully secured extensive resurfacing at the Bloxham Road junction and on Oxford Road as well as a major improvement scheme on Bankside. He has also delivered a residents' parking scheme on Crouch Street, Beargarden Road, Westbeech Court and West Bar Street and worked to make school crossings safer. In addition, he has campaigned for fresh funding to improve the Horton Hospital and secured more money for Frank Wise School.
With his legal background, Eddie led the Transformation programme of the previous Conservative administration saving millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money, whilst protecting vital frontline services.
He is currently the Leader of the Opposition.
