Eddie was first elected to represent the Calthorpe Division in May 2017. He loves Banbury and has consistently stood up for our town in County Hall. Like most hardworking people, he believes that politics is about finding solutions to problems, not problems to politicise. Having worked in Local Government, he recognises the challenges public services face.
Over the past 4 years, Eddie has worked hard to deliver tangible improvements locally. He successfully secured extensive resurfacing on the Bloxham Road junction, the Oxford Road, and a major improvement scheme on Bankside. He also helped make school crossings safer and continues to campaign for better residents' parking provision on streets close to Banbury town centre. He has also campaigned for fresh funding to improve the Horton Hospital and secured more money for Frank Wise School.
With his legal background, Eddie led the County Council’s Transformation programme, saving millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money, whilst protecting vital frontline services. He is currently the Leader of the Opposition.
