Colin Clarke

Cherwell District Councillor for Banbury Calthorpe and Easington Ward
Banbury Town Councillor for Calthorpe South Ward

Colin’s roots are firmly in Banbury - he has lived here his whole life and can trace some of his ancestors back to a marriage in St Mary’s Church in 1564. As one of the town’s first community police officers, his patrol area consisted of Cherwell Heights and Easington so he knows the community he represents on local Councils well. As Cherwell District Council’s Lead Member for Planning, he is proud that the Council is a national leader in the delivery of new build homes, a pioneer of self-build, and continues to prioritise affordable homes with a record 507 affordable housing opportunities provided in 2018-19. Colin has also been a member of Banbury Town Council since 2005 and had the honour of serving as Town Mayor in 2017/18.
