Originally hailing from Anglesey in North Wales - unsurprising with a name like Bryn Williams! - Bryn and family have lived in Deddington since 1996. His wife Jenny works at the village Primary School and his four daughters have all attended Deddington Primary School and the Warriner School, Bloxham.
Bryn first got involved in community matters by becoming a Deddington Parish Councillor in 2010 before he was encouraged to stand for the District Council by former Councillor Paul O’Sullivan upon his retirement in 2014. Since 2016, Bryn has been one of the three District Councillors to represent the Deddington Ward following its expansion to 13 Parishes.
Bryn is involved in a number of community initiatives, the one closest to his heart being Deddington Library and the ongoing challenges of keeping it operational. His full-time work and passion is motorsport and he continues to publish books on the subject.
Bryn can often be seen walking with the family and their black Labrador, Indie, around the Parish, and other parts of the Ward. By being out and about he’s able to report back to officers to ensure that matters are resolved quickly and issues reported by residents are dealt with by the council’s dedicated staff.
The Deddington Ward comprises the villages of; Barford St. John and St. Michael, Clifton, Deddington, Duns Tew, Fritwell, Hempton, Hook Norton, Middle Aston, Milcombe, North Aston, Somerton, Souldern, South Newington, Steeple Aston, and Wigginton.
