Arash was elected onto Banbury Town Council in May 2016. Representing an area mostly occupied by new housing developments, Arash is keen to ensure that these residents are fully integrated into the town. Arash lives locally with his wife and young son. He is also a County Councillor and has fought passionately to represent the concerns of local residents in County Hall on a range of issues from potholes to infrastructure and the Horton General Hospital. He was instrumental in getting Oxford University NHS Foundation Trust’s (OUHFT) decision to suspend obstetric services at the Horton referred to the then Secretary of State for Health, the Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP.
