Lib Dem and Green run Oxfordshire County Council are planning to switch off and dim the street lights across Bicester with no public consultation.
The proposed changes by Oxfordshire County Council present a significant risk to both public safety and public confidence, particularly in areas such as Bicester. The plans are even opposed by Thames Valley Police, but the Lib Dem and Green cabinet look set to press ahead with their scheme to switch off street lights across Bicester where people rely on street lighting to feel safe at night.
Your Conservative Councillors in Bicester, Cllr Sam Holland and Cllr Donna Ford, oppose these plans and are campaigning to make sure that the lights stay on and the streets remain lit AND safe.
