Cherwell District Council election results

Bicester campaigning

On Friday 6 May, local politicians gathered at Spiceball Leisure Centre in Banbury for the results of the Cherwell District Council elections. It was a difficult day for Cherwell Conservatives with 6 seats lost - 1 to Labour in Banbury Hardwick, one to the Greens in Kidlington East and 4 to the Liberal Democrats in Adderbury, Bloxham and Bodicote, Bicester South and Ambrosden, and two seats in Launton and Otmoor where a by-election was held alongside the scheduled elections.
