Local Councillors attended the soft launch of Bicester’s newest development today. Gardeners Close, which is situated just off the London Road, is the latest project to be delivered through Conservative-controlled Cherwell District Council’s award-winning Build! programme.
The now complete development is made up of 42 apartments – 10 x 1 bedroomed and 32 x 2 bedroomed – which can be purchased on a shared ownership basis with a deposit as low as £4,500, making Gardeners Close Bicester’s most affordable development.
Bicester is already one of the country’s most attractive destinations for homebuyers. Gardeners Close offers low-cost, contemporary, town centre living with the development located just a five-minute walk from Bicester Town train station and 10 minutes from Bicester Town Centre.
To date, Build! has already undertaken 31 separate development projects delivering over 190 affordable homes across the District often through the redevelopment of brownfield land. Build’s ground-breaking ethos also instigated the Graven Hill Company on old Ministry of Defence land at the southern edge of Bicester, which will deliver, when complete, the largest self-build site in the country.
